Lake Powell

 We joined Brian's family at Lake Powell from the 1st to the 4th of August.  We were blessed to have the entire family together.  We stayed at a rental house in Page, AZ (about 15 minutes from the rental boat dock).  We rented a boat and two jet skis.  The vacation was wonderful.  It was so fun to be all together and to get to relax and play at the lake. I think about 8 of these pictures were taken by Brian or I.  The rest were taken by Kevin or Brent.  Thank you so much boys for letting me share your wonderful pictures!  Sorry for the picture overload.  I just couldn't narrow it down any more.

Lake Powell is beautiful.  We had never been there before. It was fun to be in such a nice setting.

 Our first day we decided to take a boat ride to another part of the lake.  This meant a decent boat ride there and back.  We had an easy time there and enjoyed our day, but unluckily got stuck in a storm on our way back.  Our boat started filling with water and the engine got flooded.  We were forced to turn back and eventually get shuttled home from another dock.  It was a little scary for a few minutes, but the only casualties were 2 iPhones and an iPad.  We got these cute pictures of the kiddos while we were trying to warm up after getting out of the water and waiting for someone to come get us.

 We had a lot of fun on the boat.  Brian's brothers made wake boarding look all too easy.  It's a good thing I had an excuse not to attempt wake boarding and make a fool of myself.

Brian and I don't get much chance to do hard core stuff like the rest of the family.  I had an excuse not to make a fool of myself, but Brian was able to try both waterskiing and wake boarding.

Madison took a few short boat rides.  She liked looking at the people in the water, but loved waving the flag to alert other boats.

 Madison loved playing on the beach.  She had fun playing with her big cousins Kyle and Kael and teaching her little cousin Kyran about anything she could.

The best part of our trip was getting to be with family.  I think this is a great picture of Mom with the cliffs behind her.

Madison does fairly well in the car, but does get anxious after long drives.  She sometimes cries so hard she throws up.  I guess it's her way of getting us to stop.  Here she is driving the car while Mom cleans her car seat.

 I think she needs a few more lessons before she's ready to actually drive. :)
