We're back in OC after a fun week in Beverly Hills. Bri enjoyed working on the Academy audit. While in the Academy building, he took a few breaks from looking at his computer and looked around. Here's a few pictures.

He also was able to meet the original "Oscar." Apparently no one knows why the Academy Awards are nicknamed "the Oscars." One of the stories is that someone decided that his guy looked like their friend Oscar. But who knows. :)




















Friday evening, PwC had an intern event to attend the Dodgers baseball game. Somehow, they had tons of extra tickets, so I was also invited. :) I had never been to baseball game before, so it was fun. We sat in the "All You Can Eat" section, which means free popcorn, nachos, soft drinks, and "Dodger Dogs," basically really long hot dogs. As a special treat, it also happened to be Mormon Community Night. Elder Quentin L. Cook threw the honorary first pitch.

It was a lot of fun. We ended up leaving after the 7th inning stretch, since we were driving back to OC. We missed the grand slam against the Dodgers in the top of the 9th. Good thing we didn't really care about either of the teams.

Saturday morning we relaxed, went grocery shopping, and did laundry. Saturday afternoon, we went back out to LA to eat at Antojitos BiBi, a Honduran restaurant, with the Cannons and Hutchings. It was extremely nostalgic for Bri. Everything from the food, to the way to restaurant was decorated, to the neighborhood it was situated in, reminded him of Honduras, where he served his mission. Bri thought the food was very authentic, but was not quite as fresh as he ate it in Honduras. For instance, all the right ingredients were in the baledas (tortillas filled with beans, eggs, avocado, and sausage), but the tortillas weren't made after we ordered. Sunday, we went to dinner at the Hutchings. It was fun to hang out with them and their cute girls.
Monday was back to life as usual here in OC. Bri is working this week in Irvine. It's nice that it's not too far away. I'm back to my usual sewing and crocheting projects. My big project yesterday and today was a patchwork fleece baby blanket. I've finished it, except for the edge, which I haven't decided what to do. The blanket uses another one of my new feet for my sewing machine, the edge joining foot. This foot joins two pieces of fabric together without any folds.
