3 months!

Madison is 3 months old today! She is getting even more cute. She has started to find her voice more. She talks to herself a lot during the day, especially if you ignore her fussing for a few minutes.

She still has a funny hair growth pattern. She has lots of dark hair around the bottom of her head. The hair in the front and the back on top is starting to get long, but she still has very little on the sides. She'll be sporting a great mohawk before long!

She's holding her head up really well and working on sitting up against the sofa. She can only sit for a few minutes before she starts falling to one side or the other.

Madison was having a really hard time keeping her binkys in her mouth, so we decided to try another kind. Old binky on the left, new binky on the right.

The new binkys are working great! She keeps them in her mouth much longer before spitting them out than she does with the old ones.
Here's a picture of her with the new binky. I love this picture because it looks like she wants you to read what her sock says, "daddy loves me."

Madison loves her swing and still takes her best naps in it. I'm trying to get her to sleep more in the crib, but the swing is just so easy! She often sleeps very strangely in the swing though. Doesn't this look horribly uncomfortable!

Madison's eyes are still blue, and show no signs of changing. We think they'll stay that way.

Madison has started to like her bathtime now that she can sit in a tub of warm water. She's even getting better at not crying when you take her out of the bath.

Madison's bedtime routine is to take a bath, get dressed for sleep, eat, get rocked in the glider for a few minutes, and then lie down in bed with her binky. She does a pretty good job of falling asleep (around 9-9:30), but really varies when she wakes up. Bad nights she wants her binky at 2 or to eat at 3. Good nights she'll sleep til the 5 or 5:30. I think she might sleep better at night if she could get a nap schedule for the day. We're still working on that one. She wears this cute snowflake sleeper most nights, and then bundles up in her swaddle blanket to keep her hands away from her face.

Madison has become very attentive. She'll look at toys and other things around our house, but doesn't try to reach for them. She is good at bringing her fists to her mouth, so I'm sure she'll be great at sucking on stuff once she figures out how to get it in her hands.

Madison rolled over completely unassisted three times on Tuesday, but hasn't done it again without help since. Somehow, I managed to get a video of one of her times on Tuesday. However, Blogger won't let me post it. I'll keep trying. :(

To finish off, here's a great picture of Madison and her Daddy! She is so much fun. We can't wait to see what she learns in the next month!

  2. You forgot to include the caption for Picture #7: "What do you mean Aunt Judy isn't coming to visit me for Christmas?"
