Madison has some odd habits with her toys. She likes experimenting.
Madison has quite the collection of little people toys. We set up the whole village one day. She's showing off one of her princesses.
Katelyn loves this fuzzy/silky blanket. She also loves being wrapped up tight in a blanket. At 2 months, she was measuring fairly average, 12 lbs, with a largish head.
Madison loves rain and umbrellas. She tries to play with the umbrella whenever she can. She can be heard carrying it around saying "Tut, Tut, Rain". (A Winnie the Pooh reference)
Here's a video of her playing with the umbrella.
This post as lots of cute sister photos. Madison loves playing with her sister.
Katelyn was getting really good at holding up her head. She always had strong neck muscles. She hates being on the floor in any way. But doing tummy time on this pillow is better than other way. She loves being able to see.
Katelyn is more vocal than Madison was at this age. But a lot of the time her talking is trumped by Madison, who is very loud now. Here's a good example.
Madison loves to help in the kitchen. She likes to watch food cook. Here she is impatiently waiting for her waffle.
Isn't this how you would dress for church in January? We have had the weirdest winter. Very mild and very dry. Katelyn looked so darling in this dress!
Katelyn loves this shirt from Auntie Jenna!
Madison loves playing in the space under Katelyn's crib. With the crib mattress at the highest setting, Madison has lots of room to play underneath.
BYU played UC-Irvine in volleyball during January. We decided to go to the game with a bunch of friends. We left Madison at home (she would have spent the whole game climbing over bleachers into stranger's laps), but brought Katelyn with us. She slept most of the game, but didn't look too excited for this photo. (BYU won 3-2!)
Madison is working on playing hide and seek. She doesn't like to seek and this is how she hides. "If I can't see you, you can't see me, right?"
Here's another one of her hiding spots.
Whenever I pull out the camera to take pictures of Katelyn, Madison inserts herself into the photos. She's a great photo bomber.
My parents bought this cute romper while in Paris a little while back. The tag claims it's size 12-18 mois. French babies must be tiny! Katelyn is 12 weeks in this photo.
When I moved Katelyn after taking her picture, Madison sat in the same spot and told me to take her picture. "Cheese!"
Look how high I can hold my head!
Madison is very helpful in Katelyn's development. :)
Katelyn loves to be able to see around the room. She despises lying on the floor. She was a little young for the bumbo, but loved being able to see everything.
Once again, Madison needed to be part of the picture taking.
She loves her sister!
Katelyn loves looking around. When we can convince her to sit in the swing, she likes to look at the toys.
Sometime in January, we started having Katelyn sleep in the crib in the same room as Madison. It's taken well over a month, but we're finally getting the hang of it. Because of lost sleep due to room sharing, this is often how our bed looks in the morning. Mom trying to sleep and Madison and Katelyn being silly.
I love this picture because Madison is grinning and Katelyn is screaming. Have I mentioned that Katelyn doesn't like lying down?
Madison looks like she's trying to eat Katelyn. I promise she isn't :)
Here's a video from the same day.
Katelyn has started laughing. It's so fun to see her personality come out.
I just can't resist putting in all these cute sister pictures. Madison really loves Katelyn. She beams when she sees her. She runs to her when she hears her cry. Best buds!
