Zion, California, and our anniversary...

The last month and a half or so has been great. Sarah and I went down to Zion National Park for a couple days of camping and hiking. It was my first time hiking Angel's Landing, so that was a lot of fun. It's pretty cool at the top, climbing up a narrow ridge with 1000 foot cliffs on either side.

At the end of July, we went on a road trip to California to attend Ernst and Young's Summer Leadership Program. It was a great two days in Irvine getting to know public accounting, Ernst and Young, and Orange County a little better. The weather was perfect in Irvine: upper 70s with a light breeze. I could get used to that! We also went out to eat with Nate, Rachael, and their two little girls, so that was a lot of fun. After a couple of days in Irvine, we drove up to Redlands to spend a couple days with family. During the middle of the day, most everyone was pretty busy, so we took advantage of the free time to go back down to Orange County to get a tour of PricewaterhouseCooper's OC office (thanks Nate!) and visit the beach. We also got to visit the Cannons and participate in a sweetened condensed milk taste test.

This last weekend was our 1st anniversary. It's crazy to think that it's been a whole year since we got married. To celebrate, we drove down to the cabin for a weekend get away. Sarah loves the sound of the wind in the Aspen trees and I had a lot of fun showing her around areas from my childhood memory. We drove back up to Provo on Saturday and went out to P.F. Chang's followed by some thawed, somewhat less than tasty wedding cake at the Kenison's.



So that pretty much sums up our latest adventures. Sarah got a new job somewhere in the midst of all of that. She's now working as an LPN at a disabled children's home in Orem called Tiny Tot's. The next couple weeks will consist of getting ready for school and recruiting events with PwC and Ernst and Young (Internship applications are due the first week of school for next summer and the interviews are all in September!). We're anxious for school to start again...
