Big smiles
Cute sleeper
Cake for a late birthday celebration. She has an amazing sweet tooth. She begs for cookies and treats all the time.
The girls love wearing matching clothes and their pink boots. They also love posing for pictures.
Madison loves playing piano and singing. Isn't she adorable!
Katelyn likes the piano too.
She also likes her Daddy!
One more Katelyn video
Madison loves being cuddled up in a blanket.
A lot
Enough to eat wrapped up.
Katelyn loves the fish in our complex. She climbs on the bridge and shouts "fishy!"
Here's a video.
We took advantage of a lovely Friday afternoon in November, after Brian was done being really busy for a month, to go to Irvine Regional Park. We went to the zoo. The animals were surprisingly active and the girls loved it.
We love Daddy!
They even took one of the beavers for a walk. Madison thought it was hilarious.
Madison loved the ducks and peacocks that wander around the park.
Feeding them was a lot of fun.
So was chasing them.
But some of the ducks didn't appreciate being chased.
Katelyn loved the park.
Madison loved the trees. It was a great day.
The Tuesday before Thanksgiving was beautiful in California so, of course, we went to the beach. It was an amazing day. The girls loved it.
All through November, we had Madison tell us something she was grateful for each day and we drew a picture. Here she is sharing all the things she had us draw.
Katelyn was amazed by the Christmas tree. She loved playing with the ornaments we left in her reach.

Horse Riding
Hay climbing
We had a little rainy spell in December. Madison was so excited to get to wear her rain boots and jacket. She loved the puddles.
Katelyn loved the puddles too, despite her lack of appropriate rain gear.
Another rainy day.
Nothing warms you up after rain like hot (or slightly warm) cocoa!
Katelyn is an amazing mess-maker. She is so adventurous and curious. She has an amazing ability of opening things. I was in the kitchen cooking and she was playing with the brand-new, unopened, still sealed, bottle of syrup. When I turned back to her, she had opened it and poured out the whole bottle. She was so proud of herself.
Katelyn loves peanut butter sandwiches. She usually opens them, sticks her fingers in the peanut butter, and licks her fingers. Who needs bread, right?
The girls are such good sisters. Katelyn wants to do anything Madison does. Madison loves to help Katelyn do it. They are sweet!
Playing with Daddy's expensive headphones... Don't look so proud!
Katelyn is also a professional climber. I find her on the table all the time.
In December, Brian's work sent him on a week retreat to the Terranea resort in Long Beach. He got a weeks worth of workshops about improving himself and enjoying beautiful views. Enjoy.
Here are the girls, loving their matching Christmas dresses.
I helped the girls make Christmas lists to show Santa, but they were both too afraid to actually talk to him, so no picture.
We loved going to Utah for Christmas. Madison had so much fun with Nana and Pops. Here they are making a "gingerbread" house.
Madison loved her Christmas presents. Can you tell?
Katelyn's talking really took off after her birthday. Every week she'd have a new word.
Madison loves to "mother". Here she is taking care of her baby duck. :)
Katelyn with one of her Christmas toys.
After Christmas with Nana and Pops, we headed to the Wright's cabin for a quick trip. Madison made puppets with Grandma.
Katelyn loved being inside looking outside.
But wasn't so sure being outside. You can't tell in this photo, but she is pretty upset and Madison is telling her, "It's OK, Kay-kyn."
Madison loved the snowmobiles. She was really unsure of them at first because of how loud they are, but once we convinced her to take a slow ride with Daddy, she was in heaven.
Madison went for another ride with Grandma!
We sure love our girls and hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Cute, cute, cute. I'm impressed the Phantom can keep playing the piano with the beautiful girl distracting him!
