We packed all our traveling into the first half of the summer. So in July and August, we stayed home and did fun things, like potty train. Isn't that what you did with your 4th of July holiday?
Here's Madison's potty chart. She did amazingly well her first day. She has been on and off since. She is fairly well trained when not wearing clothes. :) She does poorly on the weekends, but usually well during the week. If she's having too much fun, she forgets. But she is improving.
She was excited to wear nothing the first day. We spent most of the day in the kitchen and had a lot of fun.
Katelyn is growing like crazy. She's now 10 months. She recently decided she loves swinging.
She is getting into everything. One of her favorite activities is pulling DVDs off the shelf.
Just like her sister used to do:
These girls are great sisters. They are starting to love playing together.
During July, Brian spent 2 weeks in San Francisco for training for work. Here he is by the Bay Bridge.
And another because I like both photos. :)
Madison really wanted to go with Daddy on his trip. She almost fit in the suitcase.
For the 24th of July, our stake did a big Pioneer celebration. Madison loved it. They had pony rides:
(doesn't she look so old in this photo!)
Face painting:
(cute little tiger)
and Biscuit making:
Then they dressed all the kids up for the parade. Isn't Madison the cutest tiger pioneer you have ever seen?
Then they tried to take a picture. Yup, that's my daughter in the front row, no cooperating. She never did stand nicely in line for the picture. Oh well :)
She loves Daddy!
Madison loved this Mickey statue outside the stadium. She really likes Mickey and Minnie right now. We had a hard time convincing her to leave the statue and go home.
On to more random pictures. Katelyn is a ham. She smiles every time you point a camera at her.
And she loves Madison.
Madison got these awesome goggles for filling up a potty chart. She was so excited about them. She wore them around the house for a few days.
Here's a cute picture of Katelyn watching World Cup Soccer.
As I mentioned earlier, Katelyn is amazing at getting into things. One day, I set her food on the table where I thought it was out of her reach, and went into the kitchen to get her tray. When I came back, she looked like this:
Madison is a little helper. She loves helping cook or clean anyway she can. Sometimes she's not very helpful, but she loves it! Here we are making coconut shrimp.
Katelyn spent July perfecting her standing skills. She learned to not only stand against things, but independently in the middle of the room.
Katelyn loves her Daddy. I love these pictures of her and Brian.
Madison is a mimicker. She copies what we say and what we do.
Madison loves swimming. And Daddy :)
Here's a picture of Katelyn standing independently. She is really good at it. She stands up about half the time now.
Madison likes stacking things. Here she stacked nearly all of our DVDs.
One day Brian got off work early and we headed to the local zoo and park. I loved this picture of us on the train.
Madison will do anything to be outside. Here she is at the park.
Here she is with her best friend Brandon. Brandon just moved to Texas. Madison was really sad to lose her friend.
Another mimicking picture. Madison with her baby carrier.
My loving girls!
Madison is really into being "super" right now. She likes the show Super Why.
She also likes dressing up in her new princess dress-ups.
In August, we took a hike to see the Hollywood sign in LA. We got great views of LA.
Family with the sign in the distance.

Katelyn loves Madison's bike. She thinks she's as big as Madison.
Another Super Madison picture! You may notice that she's wearing a hat, a cape, and underwear. :)
I love this series of pictures of Madison and Katelyn riding in a shopping cart car.
Everyone's favorite time of day is when Daddy comes home.
Happy Katelyn. She now has 6 teeth.
My girls love being together. Katelyn crawled over to sit next to Madison and eat their crackers together. I love them!
One of the girls favorite toys right now is this box. Madison had me cut a whole in it, just the way Daniel Tiger had a box to play with on his show. The girls have loved it.
Katelyn thinks it's a great tunnel.
Madison loves being at Grandma's house. She gets to be queen of the castle. If she wants to lounge in the chair and eat cheerios, no one complains.
If she wants to have the piano taken apart to see how it works, everyone helps.
If she wants to join the picture of all the Wright boys, no one stops her. (It was fun to have them all together.)
Madison and Katelyn love the decorating I've finally gotten around to doing in their room.
We love the way Madison says some of her words. Here are a few examples.
Here are a few videos showing Madison's enthusiasm about going to Grandma's house.
Madison occasionally argues with herself in the car. It's hilarious.
Here's a cute video of Katelyn.
Madison loves books. Here she is reading The Three Bears with Daddy.
Cover your ears. This is what life at our house sounds like.
Ring around the Rosies
In the middle of August, Katelyn started taking steps. She still only strings together 6 or so steps before falling, but she's doing it more and more. Here's the best video we've gotten. Sorry, it's a bit long.
Here's a video of the girls playing in the box.
And one last video of Madison playing the piano.

Fun pictures. Was that a Mickey shopping cart?
